Job Overview:
The Black Coffee Retail Manager’s primary role is to manage the bar staff, seating, and retail area of Black Coffee. This position is vital to providing customers with an enjoyable experience. Qualifications:
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Excellent customer service skills
– Experience in Coffee, restaurant, or bar
– Must be detail oriented and organized
– Proven ability to manage a team efficiently
– Able to multi-task and manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
– A natural curiosity for learning and sharing coffee drinks
– Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
– Must be able to remain standing for extended periods of time
– Proven ability to effectively problem solve and think outside the box
Responsibilities:
Front-of-House Work & Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service to all Black Coffee patrons
Resolve customer complaints
Maintain a thorough understanding of all retail products, company history, production methods, and generally be able to educate our customers
Manage and monitor bar staff
Staff Recruitment & Team Development
Assist in Hiring new bar employees
Assist in training new staff and help develop training and education program
Maintain a positive and friendly work environment for all employees
Scheduling work hours for bar and production employees
Coordinate employee reviews, provide constructive feedback to employees
Maintaining communication flow and up to date menus
Scheduling / facilitating staff meetings and education
Menu, Drink & Toast special Development/ Education
Assist in creating monthly rotating drink and toast specials
